The bible refers to the ‘Great I AM.” This is God. God is the ‘Great I AM!’ He is all that we are and all that we have. He is one that is constant, never changing, and forever alive and whole. In an ever changing world, nothing is constant. Everything changes. BUT GOD. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. [Hebrews 13:8].
You might ask yourself. Who am I? What is my purpose? Why was I created?
God determines all of this. Amazingly so, this is decided before you were created in your mother’s womb. And this is because God is the creator of all life and being. God knew and knows who you are. YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. He knows your purpose. FOR YOU ARE CALLED TO BE A SERVANT OF THE KINGDOM. He knows why you were created. To further share the gospel with lost souls and expand the Kingdom for the returning of Christ.
FOR HE, IS THE ‘GREAT I AM!’
This past week, I have been filled with joy. My cup has been overflowing. Almost as if everything I have gone through in the last year and a half, has been erased and I am walking in a fresh start for my life. I have not forgotten the journey, but I surely am being fully healed from it! This is God. And, God Himself. I couldn’t have done the healing myself, only God has the authority and power to do so. Now, I just have to walk in authority of the healing and allow the cleansing to be a reflection of Christ.
I ask myself, “WHY ME GOD?” Why did you choose me? You rescued me from the grave. You rescued me from what I thought was “the end.” My life was on the line and you said “It is not finished” for you had and have so much more in store for me.
I often ask, why did I get a second chance?
Why not Robin Williams? A man so talented whom was overcome by his fight with depression and addiction?
Why not Kate Spade? I mean, she had everything in the world including riches.
Why not Marilyn Monroe? She was beautiful and seemed to be living the dream.
Why not Kurt Cobain? A musician so talented that affected so many people of his time.
Why not Mac Miller? A legend to his fans and others.
Why not Anthony Bourdain? A talented chef that was loved by so many.
….and SO many more!
They never got a second chance. And, I ask God again…”WHY ME?”
Instead of focusing on WHY, I thank God every day that I wake up and have breath in my lungs because had it have been up to me, that wouldn’t be the case.
Here are some more celebrities that lost their life to suicide. Suicide is not selfish. It is an extreme cry for help…..
But there is hope. And that hope is found in JESUS!
